When you say “hostel”, many people still think of cold showers in the hallway, shared toilets and canned food. There are many funny myths about hostels. But they don’t hold true at Danhostel Vejle.
We often find that guests are surprised – in a good way – when they arrive at our modern hostel in Vejle. That's why we're tackling some of the most persistent myths and confronting them with facts.
Myth 1: In a hostel you live in a dormitory with strangers and share a toilet and bathroom.
Not with us! At Danhostel Vejle you get your own room – with those you travel with. All our rooms have their own entrance and private bathroom/toilet, so you have complete privacy and comfort during your stay.
We have 26 4-bed rooms, 3 8-bed rooms and 1 10-bed room.

Myth 2: Hostels are only for young backpackers
Our guests range widely – from families with children and couples to camp schools, seniors and craftsmen. Everyone is welcome here. We have designed the place so that there is room for both peace, play and fellowship – both outside and inside. We are a family-friendly accommodation in Vejle, where everyone can feel at home.

Myth 3: In a hostel you have to cook and clean your own room
You can choose to cook your own meals in our shared kitchen and clean your room on the day of departure. However, you can also pay for the cleaning, and on selected days we offer a breakfast buffet.

Myth 4: You have to remember to bring your own linen and towels.
With us, a linen package including a towel is included in the room price. You just have to make the bed yourself when you arrive and throw it in the wash when you leave.
We have a flexible check-in, so you can arrive when it best fits your plans.

Myth 5: Hostels offer a cheap form of accommodation
In addition to a private room with its own bathroom and toilet, our guests receive free parking, wifi, and access to indoor and outdoor facilities.

These are just some of the hostel myths we encounter from time to time. It's fun for us to hear what guests think before they come, and how they experienced their stay here.
